Texas Chapters: a

Chartered on February 1, 1946, the Aaron Burleson Chapter, NSDAR, is named for Aaron Burleson II, who assisted in establishing American Independence while acting in the capacity of minuteman. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., September through May.

Organized November 3, 1913. The monthly meetings of the Alamo Chapter, NSDAR, are held on the second Thursday of each month, September through May.

Officially chartered in October 2010, the Alexander Hodge Chapter, NSDAR, was named after the only veteran of the American Revolution who settled and is buried in Fort Bend County, Texas. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday evening of the month in the Sugar Land area, September through May.

The Alexander Love Chapter, NSDAR, was formally chartered on October 19, 1923, in Houston, Texas. Meetings are held the the second Thursday of the month at noon, September through May. An Evening Committee meets seven times a year.

The Andrew Carruthers Chapter, NSDAR, celebrates its 110th Anniversary in 2019, having organized on November 3, 1909. Regular meetings are held on the third Friday during the months, September, October, November, and January. A holiday party is held in December, and a scholarship tea is held in April. The chapter achievement awards luncheon is in May.

Ann Poage Chapter, NSDAR, was organized on April 13, 1940. The chapter meets October through May, on the second Saturday of the month, to provide the opportunity for professionals and others who work during the week to participate.

The Anne Pettus Shelburne Chapter, NSDAR, was organized on June 9, 1972. The chapter meets on the third Monday of each month, September through May.

The Anthony Smith Chapter, NSDAR, was organized on December 2, 1948. Meetings are held the first Tuesday September through May.
