More than eight decades have passed since the Rio Grande Chapter, NSDAR, organized in McAllen on March 26, 1929. Chapter meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month, September though May.

Smuggler's Pass Chapter, NSDAR, was organized on October 1, 1996. The chapter meets in the evening on the third Tuesday of each month, September through May.
Organized in 1981,the Yorktown Biccentennial Chapter, NSDAR, meets on the third Thursday of each month, September through May.
